Sixteen restaurants. One category. Straight elimination until everyone has argued it down to a single name. It is loud, it is deeply personal, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the Score.
Sixteen in. One out.
Round of 16, quarters, semis, final. Each round runs for a few days, then the loser goes home and the argument moves on. Every match is one question: which one, honestly, would you rather be eating right now?
The winner takes People’s Champion and a tag on their page. That is the entire prize.

The split stays hidden until you’ve picked. Nobody gets to join the winning side after the fact.
Popularity, not merit
People’s Champion is a title, not a number. It never touches the Score or the rankings.
- It does not change the Score. Not by a point, not by a rounding error.
- It does not move a restaurant up the rankings. Rankings are ranked by the score.
- It cannot be bought, sponsored, or entered by request — seeding is ours.
- A restaurant can win a bracket before it has a badge at all. Popularity and rank are two different questions, and people love what they love.
Seeding opens once enough places are ranked to make the field honest — a bracket of restaurants nobody has written up yet is just a poll about logos. Voting opens soon.

Brackets are for fun. The Regulars are where a real number gets made — and they’re signing people up right now.
Scores can't be bought. Only earned. Brackets can’t be bought either.
